I've been busy with a couple projects, holidays, and whatnot, but I promise you I am still working on this series!
Also in exciting news, I've joined Etsy so it will be easy to purchase my paintings if you are interested. Check it out!

A few things in the works
Welcome! Here are a couple little guys in the works right now:
The first of which is my gull. I had originally planned to make the painting photo realistic, but I've fallen in love with the red wash and decided to leave it as is, but with a deep red background.
Finally is the pigeon. This one has changed quite a bit and is on its way to being finished. It currently looks quite different from the other two.
I had thought when starting this series that I was going to paint all the birds realistically, but I've gotten such a good response to the watercolour-like style of the underpaintings that I think I will make more of those. I'm planning on letting go of my expectations for the series, and be more experimental and play around with different looks and techniques.
More will come soon!

Next is the magpie. I've also decided to leave it at wash stage and it currently has a dark aubergine background.
